Megan and Mike tear up LA!

Galleon Traders double-feature in Lost Strangeles this weekend! Megan Wilson is in an exhibition at Tinlark Gallery in Hollywood, and Mike Arcega is an exhibition at Steve Turner Contemporary in Los Angeles!

Megan is one of the three artists in Re::Views at Tinlark, although technically since she’s doing something in the Project Room, her Morning Glory installation might just be its own entity. I’m sure that it’s going to be gorgeous. The other artists in Re::Views are Scott David Johnson and Catherine Ryan.

Mike is part of Past Over, a group exhibition featuring works inspired by historical facts that are often overlooked, sanitized or denied. He’s showing three of his sculptures: a life-size suit of Spanish armor made from manila folders; a large canon created from beer cans and shredded bills and documents; and a cathedral made of petroleum-based plastic (PVC). This is the inaugural exhibition at Steve Turner Contemporary’s new location. Past Over also includes Zoë Charlton, Sam Durant, Ken Gonzales-Day, Mary Kelly, Marc Andre Robinson, and My Barbarian.
